About Us

We met on Lamu and spent many years there – living, working and exploring the archipelago – and we’re delighted to present and share a personal selection of our favourite places to stay.

Most our properties began their lives as much-loved family holiday homes and private hideaways, and many of their owners, managers and staff are friends, neighbours and colleagues. For us, personal connections and in-depth local knowledge and experience are always key when planning a successful stay.

As well as the handpicked properties on our website, we always know of a variety of other gorgeous, new, forthcoming and under-the-radar places to stay.  We’ll be pleased to share these with you in greater detail – so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

As long-term Kenyan residents we are fortunate enough to have been able to travel all around the region and we’ll also be pleased to share our recommendations for unique and special getaways beyond Lamu – from Nairobi bolt holes to boutique safari destinations and handpicked holiday homes at the beach and in the bush.
